SMTP Auth Setup for
Outlook 2002
- Open Outlook 2002. From the menu, select Tools, then E-mail Accounts.
- Select View or change existing e-mail accounts then click Next.
- From the account properties dialog box, select the appropriate accout then click on the button labled Change.
- The following dialog box should pop up. Click on More Settings in the bottom right corner.
- Place a check in My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication. Select Use same settings as my incoming mail server.
- Click on the Advanced tab. Under Server Port Numbers, change "Outgoing mail (SMTP):" from "25" to "587" and click "OK".
Click "OK" as needed to close out of all dialog boxes.
