KC Online Speed TestThis speed test will benchmark your line speed. This will test your down speed connection with one of the KC Online servers. Is this test accurate? The line speed test results may vary due to use of your line caused by Instant Messaging programs, checking your email while running the test, and any other general Internet usage. How does this work? A file containing 2 megs of data in it is transmitted to your computer. The time it takes to transfer the file to you is calculated to give you your current speed. Note: This test is geared towards broadband connections. It will still work on a dialup connection, however the time to download the file is greatly increased. |
