1) The first step in checking and changing your E-mail connection and settings is to open up Outlook Express by going to 'Start > Programs > Outlook Express', or by double clicking the Outlook Express icon on your desktop.
2) Once Outlook Express is open click on the 'Tools' menu item then click on the 'Accounts...' option that is listed.
3) Once the Internet Accounts window is open select the tab labeled 'Mail' then select the correct E-mail account under the 'Account' section. Once selected the Account will be highlighted with a blue box around it.
4) Then click the button to the right that is labeled 'Properties'.
5) In the Properties window under the tab labeled 'General' make sure that your E-mail address is entered in both the 'E-mail Address' and the 'Reply Address' fields.
6) Then click on the tab labeled 'Servers'. Make sure that the
Outgoing mail (SMTP) reads: smtp.kconline.com
Incoming mail (POP3) reads: pop3.kconline.com
If you are a whitleynet.org user your Incoming and Outgoing mail settings will both read
mail.whitleynet.org
7) Now the Incoming Mail Server should have 'Log on using' checked the your Account Name and Password should both be entered using all lower case letters, with no spaces.
8) Now click on the tab labeled 'Connection'. Then select the option 'Connect using my phone line'. If you are running Outlook Express 5.0 you will need to select 'Always connect to this account using:'
9) Then, using the pull down list available to you, select the Dial-Up Networking connection that is listed for your connection to KC Online.
10) Oulook Express is now configured to send and recieve your E-mail.
