1) Click on the Start Menu in the lower left hand corner. Next click on Programs, then click on Internet Explorer, finaly click on Oulook Express.
2) If this is your first time opening this program a window will appear and ask you to pick a destination for your email folder. You can click on the 'Ok' button here, this will select the default folder.
3) Now Outlook Express should be open. Lets click on the menu item 'Tools' and then go down to 'Accounts...', this is where we will setup your email account.
4) On the next screen select the tab that says 'Mail', then click on the 'Add' button, and then select 'Mail...' option. This will open up the Connection Wizard for your email.
5) On this screen you will need to enter in your name for outgoing emails. Then select the 'Next' button.
6) On this page you will need to enter your e-mail address. Enter your e-mail address as it appears on your sign up sheet. It should be in the following format. YourUserID@kconline.com.
There should not be and spaces in your e-mail address. Click the 'Next' button to move on.
7) On the e-mail server page fill in the blanks as follows:
Incoming Mail Server: pop3.kconline.com
Outgoing Mail Server: smtp.kconline.com
Click the 'Next' button to move on.
8) On this page make sure that the "Log On Using" option is selected. In the POP Account name enter your username/user ID. In the password blank, enter the password that your chose when you signed up. Click the 'Next' button.
9) On the Friendly Name Page, the box should read "kconline". Then click on the 'Next' button.
10) On this page you will need to select the method by which you connect to the Internet. Then click the 'Next' button.
11) Now click the 'Finish' button. Your computer is now setup to access your email. To verify your settings you can simply send an email to yourself from yourself. This will test the send and recieve settings.
12) To check or change your email settings you will need to go through steps 1 - 3. Then select your email account that is listed and then click on the 'Properties' button.
13) On this window you can check your settings and verify that you have entered your email and account information correctly.
